Can you find the cup?

Familiar Objects

We keep the world small and predictable. StoryPic's planned local classifier focuses on just five everyday items: a cup, a spoon, a ball, a book, and a banana.

Quiet Stories

Cloud-generated stories are built around the selected object, keeping the narrative focused, gentle, and appropriate for early learners.

Privacy by Design

In our planned release, object recognition happens entirely on your device. We do not send photos or child profiles to the cloud.

Language Practice for Autistic Children

A familiar object can be a starting point for shared attention and language practice. StoryPic is designed to give autistic children and their caregivers a visual, repeatable activity to explore together—not a test of how much a child can say.

Predictable Routines

StoryPic offers a predictable picture/choose → word → story → questions routine. Children can revisit saved stories, engaging in listening and repetition at their own pace using eligible device voices.

Modeling & Support

Pair an object on screen with one nearby. Say "cup," then "This is a cup," and leave time for your child to respond in their own way. Welcome pointing, gestures, speech, or their usual augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system—without pressure to repeat a word.

Support, Not Treatment

Every autistic child has different strengths, interests, and sensory needs. Keep sessions comfortable, repeat a favorite activity if it is welcome, and pause or stop when needed. Learning outcomes vary and are not guaranteed. A speech-language professional can help you choose activities suited to your child.

StoryPic is an educational support tool, not a replacement for AAC, medical diagnosis, or professional care.

Parent-Supervised

StoryPic is an educational support tool intended to be set up and supervised by a parent or guardian. It is not a medical device, and does not diagnose, treat, or assess a condition.

Note: The features described on this page reflect our planned next release. The updated application is currently undergoing physical testing and is not yet available.
